Welcome to Carden & New Larchwood Surgery
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
I would like to take this opportunity to inform you all of some of the changes that are taking place in the surgery.
After 31 years of full time Practice at the Surgery I have decided to move into the first stage of my retirement and therefore reduce my working days. From 1st April 2018 I shall be working Wednesday and Fridays only.
For me personally working at Carden and New Larchwood surgery has encompassed the entirety of my career in General Practice. My time at the practice has been challenging and fulfilling. As a surgery we have appreciated your support and as a team we have strived to provide traditional General Practice holding strong emphasis and value on the long standing relationships that we have built with patients and families.
We have recruited Dr Martin Bethell to cover some of my days and he is due to start in April, and will be working Mondays and Tuesdays. Dr Bethell brings a wealth of experience and maturity and will complement our team well.
I have enjoyed my time at Carden and New Larchwood Surgery hugely, and would like to thank each one of you for all your support kindness and patience over the years.
You have made each day unique, interesting and most importantly enjoyable. I have learnt things from all of you and have a wealth of fond memories and stories that I will cherish forever. It has been a true privilege and honour to serve such a fantastic community.
Dr Rekha Shah
